This tree was planted in April 1997 as a 6" tall seedling and proves to be quite hardy here in Pawtucket, RI.  In December 2000, the tree stood 5ft-9in tall with a 2-3/4" trunk diameter.

This tropical tree was started by seed on March 6, 1999.  You can see how fast it grows!  However, it is tropical, and does receive leaf damage when temperatures drop below 30F.
Ginkgo biloba

This is the famous "Ginkgo" tree which is used as an alternative medicine.  Tree's grow very large over time and can live well over 1,500 years.
